Definitely. LHM Enterprises will pluck money out of thin air to replace the lost revenue. The banking syndicate will happily cancel all loan repayments. Utilities will not only charge no taxes and fees, but will donate everything required to keep the essentials operating. Ralph Becker and Gary Herbert will both personally thank the NBA for all the lost revenue. All the employees will be out of a job, but not a single one will look for work for an entire year, and will be more than refreshed and ready to go once things get going again.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to franklin again.

No NBA team wants a lockout, obviously. But they'll happily take the financial hit if it results in the CBA they want. That's pretty much the problem. The owners have no leverage until they lock players out. And that battle plan calls for chiseling at the player's will into December. In the voting system, the majority of guys at the bottom might get so desperate for paychecks that they'll vote in a bad agreement.

So is a lockout good for the Jazz? Maybe. They're more financially stable than most small market teams and taking 4 months of losses might be pennies on the dollar if they get a more advantageous platform for the next 5 years. The NBAPA holds the weaker hand. Hopefully they make reasonable concessions and this all goes away.

(btw, Franky, that was a compliment)

Not as big a compliment as you making 10 posts in a row that don't include something about Paul George. I'm proud of you. Have you been attending a 12 steps program to get over him or something?

Realistically the lockout will do nothing to help any of our players mature. They mature on the court, not galavanting around the world hanging out on topless beaches and roaring around in their italian sports cars and tricking out endless Escalades. They mature by playing the game. I suppose some of them may work out in the interim or continue playing, but it is unlikely they will be any better off than they would be after a solid standard off-season of workouts and weight training.

topless beaches tend to mature men

I would argue that topless beaches actually cause men to become more immature. The one time I was on a topless beach the guys I saw were in essence 14 year old boys in overweight, hairy 45 year old bodies, ogling anything with nipples that weren't hairy.
