What's new

Lots of trade rumors popping up about Hayward to boston?

I've heard this repeated several times now (not just from you), but Hayward will only be 27 when this hypothetical max contract expires...Still young enough to want an even bigger payday right? Favor's contract will expire about the same time as well. We didn't even talk about Kanter, Burks, Burke, etc... How are we supposed to afford all of these guys?

It's a long time away, and we'll know exactly by then how many of them reached their full potential.

Then you make a decision at that point. Trade someone for someone else. It's never a bad thing to have too many max players. Plus, you don't always get a raise on your next deal. Hayward May not live up to the deal and he gets paid less.

I'm sure there's a caveat hiding somewhere, because on it's face, this is one of the most flagrantly and objectively false things I've read.

Let me clarify. It's never a bad thing to have too many players that are worthy of max money. Does that help?
