What's new

Lowry anybody?

Lowry has good defense FG% 15 feet and out and bad 15 ft and in. We have the interior defense to counter that.

Seems to be a bit of a ballstopper, though, on offense. He is a scoring PG, after all.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. It's a bit of a stretch to believe those assets we're giving up would turn out to be as good as Lowry/Patterson, and Lowry's contract will have amazing trade value in both '16-17 and '17-18.

Not doing it for the sake of developing Exum is just stupid as hell. If he pans out, we can always trade Lowry, but let's at least wait until Exum becomes better than God-awful before turning down amazing trades for the sake of giving Exum more minutes.

Just tossing this in here as I found it pretty amusing even if not quite related:

New thread on the realgm trade board:

Gobert for Parker and 17 and the general consensus is that the value isn't there for the Jazz, which I agree with.

Hysterical how much of a better place we are in now compared to last year.

Exum isn't "God awful", he's great on defense, and his offense will improve, it is his first year in what's considered the best league in the world and he's 19. HE IS 19. I didn't even know what life was at that age. I don't even have to hope now that good 'ol QS has the whip in his hands. that being said, I do however think Lowry would be a good fit considering he's a threat at the point we have been lacking. He just needs to be on board with Quin's system like the rest of the team. DL and QS have proven many of our statements false, and impressed us all. This is the first offseason where I'm not considerably over analyzing what's going to happen, a new found feeling I call #Jazzfaith. Jazz are bringing it next year, it's about time.

At face value it's a good deal for the Jazz. However, I'm not sure Lowry is the right fit, and I don't like the opportunity cost. I'd rather trade up in the draft, but if that's not possible.... a trade for a player is worth discussing.

An All Star in the EC isn't the same as an All Star in the WC, fwiw.
