Maggs

You are referring to Corey Maggette right? Definitely a better fit than Richard Hamilton. And his contract is better too. I seem to vaguely remember Jazz FO courting him at one point. He is averaging career low but that's because he has not been playing much. He could do well with Bell's minutes.

But the inevitable question is who do we let go for him? From a value standpoint I don't see why anyone would want Raja Bell. Perhaps Memo is a likely player to go in such a deal. I am not sure what the Bucks are lacking/needing at the moment. I'd definitely pick Magg over Rip though.

Yeah, I was thinking Maggs for Memo. We'd eat a couple more million this year and in the future but if we're actually concerned about winning, I think this trade makes some sense with AK's deal coming off the books.

Then again, we could have just retained Wes at half the cost.

isn't maggette one of the most selfish players in the league?

Not exactly sure what you mean by selfish, but he's averaging 1.3 assists per game which isn't much. However Raja Bell is averaging 1.6 assists Wes Matthews is averaging 1.9 and both are playing over 10 mins per game more than Maggette.

In general I think players playing the 2 are more "selfish" as their primary role is to score. And the Jazz really need someone who can score.
