I guess we were both disappointed.
You can make it into a Jimmer thread - you know me, I'm easy.

Guess what Duncan did? He stayed with his small market team even after his rookie and RFA contracts were up. Know why? because the culture of the team told him that he would have success on it. I am as annoyed as anyone else that the Spurs tanked to get him, but regardless of that, he stayed on the team because he felt they were a good fit. That's what I want, a team that players want to play for regardless of market size or the number of strip joints and bars available to them.
This is a very intriguing idea. I think it could have fascinating repercussions.I agree that the draft system is broken. It encourages teams to put out a poor product and give the fans a poor show.
Maybe instead of a draft and draft lottery we could help poor teams rebuild by giving them a higher salary cap for a few years or something. I really don't know but it isn't good for the sport, imho.

Retaining Harden would not only have put them deep into the LT but guaranteed they did not receive their fare portion of the revenue sharing. Competing is a double penalty for small market teams.
Good point
