Making a Murderer

SPOILERS ALERT***DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE SHOW***SPOILERS ALERT

Gonna give a sort of running dialogue as I watch this SHOW. I just started episode one.

Thought 1: My initial thought upon seeing him arrive home, released from prison, DNA having exonerated him, is that his emotions seemed too unusual. There was no heavy crying or breakdown, no somberness. Any time I've ever seen somene released from prison in similar circumstances (I've probably seen it 4-5 times on the news), there is a sort of heavy heart that weighs down on the released. I saw none of that here. Just a sort of relaxed joy of being free.

T2: He threw the cat onto the fire. A big warning sign of becoming a sociopath/serial killer. Interesting.

T3: Before even having started the show, I knew the very basic plot. Based on the tiel of the show, I've wondered if he was innocent of the first crime, sent to prison where he endured regular sexual assault and such and this only exaserbated any sociopathic traits (see cat above) he may have had, thus creating a murderer, and a man who upon his release, DID kill and commit the second crime around which this show revolves.

Good job CL. There's so many twists and turns in this show, I'm 5 episodes in so far (yes I just binged watch this, it's just so addictive) and I can honestly say I changed my mind about this guy at least 4-5 times depending on new evidence being presented.

It's certainly this year's 'Serial' for a lack of a better word... but when this is all said and done I think I'll be going back to watch it 2-3 more times to look for clues that I've missed.

As far fetched as it may seem, so far I think he's innocent.

SPOILERS

When you say innocent, you mean of the second crime of murder, right?

what is Serial?

The DA of the kid with the learning disability was such a ****ty lawyer. You could obviously tell he was in the police's pocket.

signed up for netflix in part so I could watch this. My wife and I watched the first two episodes but I don't think she's nearly as into it as I am. I might keep watching on my own.

Yeah I figured it'd be right up your alley. Serial this year has been a bit of a let down for me so this has been a GREAT replacement.

It's also something to take my mind off the struggling Jazz... LOL

SPOILERS

I'm in a car on my phone and earlier I got through about the first 3.5 episodes. So much of this case was botched by the local PD. I love how they hand the case off to Calumet, a neighboring town, as if cops don't know one another and the chance for impropriety couldn't still be strong. If the local cops wanted to handle the case properly, they would've called in Statiss or imo, the FBI, though they probably we're too busy with Homeland Security tbh.

Then, the Colburn clown who is from that town is in the trailer when the keys were miraculously found three after the search began. Really? One, I thought the local cops weren't involved. Two, it took you until the fourth day to find a set of keys in a tiny trailer? I call ********.

Not saying he didn't do it but the whole handling of this case was terrible.
