What's new

Malone is not coming to the Jazz reunion event due to "prior" commitments

Has Karl publicly commented on it, or just Kay? Pretty dumb of the Jazz to hold this event without Karl. All they needed to do was make 2 phone calls prior to picking a date...

The date was chosen to coincide with the Knicks being here.

There is a chance Karl wouldn't have participated no matter the date.

I don't think there's a lot of love between him and the organization.

Why do they want it to coincide with the Knicks being here?

I don't know, maybe I'm in the minority here but this "anniversary" celebration is kind of sad. What are we celebrating? The team that almost won the championship? It makes our franchise look desperate.

Agreed.

Last year they invited like the 84 team iirc. Should they rip down the Malone statue out front because he didn't win a championship? I think it's cool for the franchise to invite former teams back.

I also don't think that it's a big deal that Malone isn't coming. It's basically a high school reunion. I don't care if he's busy or if he just doesn't want to, not a big deal.

Wait, what?

They're celebrating people who put in a lot of effort to help shape and maintain this Jazz organization we all love so much. To me, it makes the franchise look like they appreciate everyone who plays a part.
