Yup, I agreeIf I'm the Jazz, and I'm legitimately worried about the NBA penalizing the team for sitting players, I probably play everyone today and sit them for the next two games with "injuries" sustained from the Wizards game.

Depends on who plays for Charlotte I guess. Hopefully they are putting Ball/Bridges/Williams out there when they play the JazzThe Wizards are playing better than Charlotte right now. It's more important for the standings that we lose to Charlotte, but I think it's actually more likely that we lose to Washington.
He threw them under the bus after the Pelicans game and they came out even worse vs the Pistons.Hardy threw the team under the bus after the last game... so the likely outcome is that they play with different level of urgency. It may also be the better option, than them acting like they dont care about what the HC said.
There is still the odd chance "we shot bad, they shot great" game may happen... but other than that I wouldn't try and get the fix in on this one.
Yeah I got corrected on that timeline in another thread. He threw them under the bus after the Pelicans game and they came out even worse vs the Pistons.
I’m starting to think that was one of the intended outcomes with the other being sincere intention of getting them to approach the game the right way. In other words, probably happy for the rockiness of the winners and losers to sorting themselves. He threw them under the bus after the Pelicans game and they came out even worse vs the Pistons.
I don't think the league really cares about tanking. They care about stars sitting out during nationally broadcast games, and that's about it.The Walker rest is definitely slimy, but I get it after the last two years.
If Silver does go crazy with punishments out of nowhere, I do think Utah is the kind of franchise to use as a "Missouri Football", so hopefully we have enough deniability, but just saying "rest" on a healthy youngin isn't the best optics
Or tanking a play-in game and then admitting it in a press conference.I don't think the league really cares about tanking. They care about stars sitting out during nationally broadcast games, and that's about it.
