It was really odd. We didn't know what was going on. The players really did look out of sorts. They were confused too. You could see them looking around during breaks. The no music stuff was only done for the first half and then back to normal NBA for second half of the game. I swear you could see the tempo of the game and the crowd enthusiasm picked up in second half.

I have no idea why the Knicks did it. Maybe it was some sociological experiment from a nearby University. It was definitely a weird experience.

The organ makes some sense for hockey games, I guess.

Right on the money, and a wordsmith to boot. Hard to believe guys like him, Phil Jackson, Bill Bradley (Senator), Dave Debusscher (pitcher for the White Sox), and Jerry Lucas who wrote a book on mnemonics and once memorized 50 pages of the phone book, were all on the same championship roster along with Willis Reed and the great Earl the Pearl Monroe.
