Yea, and he was excited to be in SLC about 10 times too lulz.

He came across as very candid about himself and trying too hard to pretend he likes the idea of playing for the Jazz. I'd have liked it better if he'd just have said he grew up hating this team and laughed it off. Whatever though, we have great locker room guys. Hopefully he connects with teammates and coaches first and maybe city too at some point. Marvin's has a strong reputation as a pro, he won't mail it in.

Yep, Greg and KOC probably have Matt Harpring pick them up at the airport, fry sauce in hand, and coach them on what to say.
 
Hmm, this post is kind of boring, I think I'll stir thngs up a bit.....

Let's pretend that Al was traded and Kanter isn't ready to start at the 5 yet, I think that Marvin Williams would start at the 3 OR 4 over Millsap.

so it could be:
1: MO
2: Burks
3: Hayward
4: Marvin
5: Favors

Before Millsap fans freak out, remember that Marvin is actually taller, longer with a wider wingspan than Paul Millsap is, in fact the only reason Paul is playing at the 4 is because he is too slow to be a 3.

Ouch.

No way that happens before this: 1. Mo, 2. Hayward, 3. Marvin, 4. Sap, 5. Favors.
IF Al is trades (pause to pray...) I don't see any way Burks starts and Sap is benched. At least not to start the season.

Sorry but Sap is and always will be far superior in every way to Marvin at the 4 aside from measurables. Keep in mind Paul's got great wingspan himself at 7'1.5" Williams can switch and not be a liability but it's not like he's going to be a better post scorer or better able to defend Pau, LeMarcus and Blake.

Edit to add: There's no reason not to include that lineup somewhere along the line, it's just not a starting group or one to use for heavy minutes.
 
From what I"ve read Marvin really struggles when playing the 4. He could do some spot duty there if necessary, but, the less he plays there the better for the team.

Yes, maybe useful on Bonner and the other stretch 4s of the world, but not in ordinary situations.

Agreed

As for Mormons and their 'fruit', girls are prettier when they aren't rotting their teeth with tobacco, destroying their livers with alchohol (stuff is fattening too, so many calories) and freying their nerves with waaaay too much caffeine.

Who other than you is talking about 'fruit' of the Mormons? Is that really what they call their daughters? This is becoming a very bizarre thread.
 
Nope Clutch is right. We should hate him before he ever plays a game with us. can the Marvin Williams experiment please end!?
