Matt Harpring "Do we even have an ****ing offense anymore?"

A good low post scorer doesn't average 2,5 fta per game in 33 mpg. So its not that very very very well imo. Im not saying that he doesnt have moves, just saying he dont have that quickness to successfully perform it or end up at the ft line, so maybe thats why he prefers to stick with his 15 17 foot jump shot most of the time.

Fair enough, I will take off one very. So he is just very very good.

He's not the only good player, hes the only player with a skill that he does very very very well. Low post scoring. Favors will be an elite defender but he isnt there yet. Other than that ............ A bunch of averagesssssssssssssssss, this is not Ty's fault. Its not really anyones fault. The Jazz are doing the best they can with what they are. A mid market team that a lot of players in the nba dont want to play for. A vast majority of teams in the NBA are a bunch of averagessssssss. Heat, Thunder, Lakers, Spurs being the obvious exceptions.
The chances of the Jazz taking two HOF'ers ever again are pretty god damn slim, but that is the only way the Jazz get back to the Finals. Take the goggles off and thats what youll see.

Good answer.

But i want to wear the goggles, so i will continue to believe in our young lotto picks until they give me a reason not too. So far i have liked what i have seen of burks, kanter, and favors and still have hope for them to be much better than average.

I would love Favors, Kanter, Burks to be great, but Favors just clearly is never going to be a scorer. Kanter, is and will be solid, but hes not going to be a regular all star, Burks is the wild card, my faith is low in him but I hope I have to eat crow.

Because Al is a regular All-Star??? If he is such a great scorer, why hasn't he made an AS game? I agree he has good moves, but is too dependent on his jumper rather than fighting for position and punishing teams down low.

If he played in L.A. with the same averages, he'd be a regular at the all star games.

Even D-Will had trouble making all star games in Utah. But now that he's in a big market, even though he's only a shadow of the player he was in Utah, he's an automatic for the all star game.

Kanter will be more balanced than Al, solid defender, solid scorer, Al is a very good scorer and a below average defender. Al does punish teams down low when it counts, down the stretch in the 4th, but yes I would prefer he remain on the low block.

Debatable, he has to battle Rose and Rondo at the point guard spot in the East. He will get it this year because Rose is hurt. Plus throw in Irving and Wall when healthy. Deron is still one of my favorite players, but is not a lock for anything.

He made it last year, he'll make it this year. Both years, he was a shadow of the player he was in Utah (when he only made it once).

All-Star for Utah twice 09-10 and 10-11 (before trade). And that was competing against better point guard competition -- Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Tony Parker.
This year he is competing with Rondo, Irving, and the broken Rose and Wall. He isn't even a lock to make it this year. He might not even be the most AS worthy guard on his own team.

You can nit pick all you want, but my point remains.

D-Will made the all NBA second team in 2008 (with Utah) but did not make the all star team. He's a lock to make the all star team in Brooklyn, even though he's a shadow of the player he was in Utah. If he made the all nba second team in Brooklyn, he'd be starting the all star game.

I remember during the last New Orleans game, he kept calling Aminu Roger Mason. Never corrected. He was just Roger Mason the entire game.

LOL. I hate giving Steve Brown **** because he seems like a really nice guy. But man, I don't think I've ever seen anyone go on television quite so unprepared. Dude stumbles over every sentence, gets stats and names wrong, and generally just has no idea wtf is going on. It's maddening.
