Matt Harpring should coach

Maybe not with the Jazz, but somewhere.

Smart guy. Understands the game. Could run the flex in his sleep. He's tough and a good leader. Often seems puzzled by Ty Corbin's coaching.

His commentary is starting to wear on me.

I have no doubt in my mind that Harpring would be better than Ty.

Now whether he'd be Phil Jackson or Pops would remain to be seen...

But I know for a fact he'd be an upgrade over Ty Corbin. I can't see Harpring merely shrugging off these embarrassing loses as just "one game." Or rewarding guys for their lazy defense or chucking. And he's a damn smart guy. That's the other thing. Ty just doesn't come across as very sharp.

I actually think Harping would be awesome. I think if the Jazz miss the playoffs this year then Ty could be on his way out.

Harpring would atleast be better infront of the postgame camera. But I am concerned that, like Ty, he has no head coaching experience. And maybe worse, he has no assistant coach experience.

Not that it matters, his kids are young, his wife is a doctor. I doubt the family dynamic would allow him to committ to a coaches schedule.

I think Harpring has more of an Alpha Male personality than Corbin, this team would probably benifit from that.

**** no. What's he done to prove he's a good coach, let alone would make a good head coach? I'd be so down with Harpring in a gosh darn New York minute. Smart, knows the game, has balls, can lead.

Hornacek was supposedly brought in to be a shooting coach. Yet this team can't shoot. Nor can most of them hit their FT's. Makes me wonder exactly what he does...makes sure Ty has a marker for his clipboard?
