What's new

Maul Pimpslap is killin it.

NOT BY ME!

winning basketball needs paul millsap.

always said he was not used correctly

What...he should have been used as a SF?
He was the STARTING PF! In the beginning of his career he was a poor shooter. As he developed a mid-range game, he got chances to extend his game and did so. His averages this season aren't all that much better than 2010-11, the difference being that his 3's have made up for his overall shooting percentage dropping by 7%. Millsap "led" his team to a record of 38-44. Big freakin' deal. In the WC that would have been good enough for 10th place. Only in the EC can you have a losing record and make the playoffs. And only in the weak EC does he make the all-star team. There are just too many "stud" PF's in the WC for him to have ever gotten serious consideration.

I agree he's having a great series against a fading Indiana team. Then again, I think a lot of people saw this as a possible upset. It's a bad match-up for the Pacers just like when GS as the 8th seed took it to Dallas in 2007.

I like Paul. Part of me wanted him to be re-signed. But that would have meant committing to veterans and a strategy of fighting for the 7th/8th seed every season, or maybe as high as the 5th/6th if everything went right. And the fact is, he clearly quit the last part of the season last year. No fire, didn't care. It was time for him to move on and for the Jazz to rebuild.

I've really enjoyed this season watching Millsap get his due.

I completely understand why the team moved on, but Sap has demonstrated to a non-Utah audience that he's a very very good NBA player and I'm happy to see him find success in a different city.

Well, he's shooting 3/16 so far today. That makes him 7/29 in the last 2 games.

If Kanter shoots 9/34 in the playoffs, I'll be right pissed. Just don't think it will happen. Moving on was the right thing to do.

he filled the stat sheet very well. And he did a lot of things that didn't end up recorded in the stats. Very impressive overall.

Somewhere Sloan is laughing in his grave. As evidence of his "live by the 3 and die by the 3 philosophy."

In game #7:
Millsap 6-21 FG's and 0-5 3PT FG
Carroll 1-7 FG's, including 0-5 3PT FG's.

For the series, Millsap shot under 40%. Carroll was wildly inconsistent. Shot well in their 3 wins, poorly in their losses (including 1-6 and 1-7 in two of those games). Korver had a nice series shooting-wise.

Former Jazz players were core pieces on a 38-win team that went 2-10 in Feb. and 6-10 in March. I don't feel like we're missing out on anything important here.

Doesn't really tell the whole story. The mere fact they were threats that must be guarded opened up the lane for Teague to cause havoc. A 7 game series is proof enough.

Lulz. O.K.

The mere fact their opponent is terribly flawed and came in struggling is proof enough for a 7-game series. Had this been Hawks/Spurs, SA would have easily won in 4 games.

i always wondered why sap wasn't used more of a stretch. He can knock down 3s from the perimeter...

corbin just sucked massive nads at evaluating the talent he has.

[size/HUGE] boobs [/size]. Hallow my friend.

Maulsap shoot the under 36 percent this two year season. You have you answer if you only search in not Utah desert for much good statistics.
