Maybe a draft trade rumor

Personally, I'd rate Evans in the top 5 of the entire NBA as a driver. Pretty close to unguardable first step and a nifty ability to finish in traffic. As a talent, I'd love to get him. But there are two problems: 1) He needs the right offense and 2) His head. You worry about a guy who drove 120 miles an hour on the freeway with police chasing him for FUN. I'm actually pretty forgiving of immaturity in 20 year old multimillionaires, but I wonder how forgiving KOC is.

Kyle Busch?

Tyreke Evans needs a good head coach. He has mad skills, but he played out-of-control on a bad team. Tom Nissalke, really killed him on one of the Jazz pre-game shows before the Jazzz played the Kings. He said he had a sophomore slump and needed a good point guard to play with.

There is some definite question marks about Evans, but my current hometown team of Memphis picking Thabeet over Evans was a disaster. Could have at least used him in a trade.

I figure the kings can't deal with 2 head cases in cousins and Evans. They have a good 2 guard in Thornton so why not trade Evans to get a some exp and the player you want in the draft.

Tyreke had a bad year, but is supremely talented. The one thing he did improve was his three point shot. 30% at age 21 is not bad. I'd do that trade in a heartbeat.

If that would miraculously happen, the Jazz would be definite play off contenders. Tyreke is a stud that can play PG or SG. I know its a ridiculous comparison but he reminds me of Lebron a little. He can rebound, pass, nice mid range and is a big strong guy that uses his body very well to finish. And Tyreke has only been in the league for 2 years. That being said, no way they take our scraps and the #3 for a future All star in Tyreke and the #7 which we could get Biyombo

Definitely. They would definitely contend with Sacramento, Portland, Houston, Golden State, LA Clippers, The Senior Citizens team in LA, and Minnesota for the 8th playoff spot.

Evans is a guy that doesn't contribute much unless the ball is in his hands, and he's not really a go-to scorer unless he's a "PG" creating a mismatch.

I always hate this saying. Wade, Lebron, all the superstars need the ball to contribute. They have to dominate the ball just like Evans.

One thing I do like about Evans is his ability to create his own shot and love when he posts up. I really hope we have a shot with him

Wait, are you talking about Tyreke Evans or Jimmer?

I'm not a big Jimmer guy, but come on. The guy was possibly the best shooter in college last year. Everybody needs to shoot in large volumes to get 45+ points, but it's not like he's taking 30 shots for 28 points/night.

Ok I'll bite. I haven't watched Evans too close. Could you explain why he is a head case?

This is a good question. Having a speeding video plastered all over the internet and television didn't help. This video showing him being arrested, placed in handcuffs, and put in a squad car has left many saying he's trouble. He plays with attitude, he at times even displays attitude with his coach .. but I see it as just being passionate about the game.

Oh and the speeding thing was only that, speeding. Yes, he was driving EXTREMELY fast ... dangerously fast .. but when the cops showed up he pulled over, didn't resist, and cooperated fully. No drugs, no alcohol, no resisting. Lapse of judgement, but far less of an issue (imo) than what you could say about half the players in the league. He was speeding.

Oh I forgot, also back in high school, he was in a car and his cousin pulled a gun and shot someone. Evans was found innocent of any wrong-doing, but didn't want to leave it out .. as I suppose it could be relevant for some.

I think Evans is wildly overrated (or was, since when teams looked at his scouting he totally crumbled), but there is no chance in hell they offer a ROY one-year removed for our SG trash in order to have a shot at... umm... Knight?

I really doubt the Jazz land someone better than Evans with the 3rd pick. And as a bonus, they get rid of Bell. To me it's a no-brainer.
