Maybe the tank is bacl on?

Sit Favors the rest of the season and the Jazz STILL cannot out-tank Milwaukee, Philadelphia and LA Lakers and have a difficult time losing more than Orlando as well. Boston and Sacramento will be in the tank battle too.

I find it hard to believe some are still hanging on to this dream of getting Parker or Wigging. OK, we can fantasize about winning the lottery. But getting into the top-4 record-wise just ISN'T going to happen.

^ so you're in Parkerton, eh? ^

Yep, I'm fantasizing about winning the lottery, just as I do some weeks when I go buy a lotto ticket. I have NEVER had false hopes the Jazz would finish with a bottom-3 record.

Besides, can't I like Jabari and also be a Jazz fan, even if he ends up in Milwaukee?

Please advise on "bacl."

haha. bacl is what you type when you use an iPad with sausage fingers

If the Jazz get Aaron Gordon, that means they didn't tank hard enough.

It's what were currently on track for. Hopefully seeing Gordon's game up close and personal has refocused them (albeit too late for Parker/Wiggins/Embiid). Favors said he was fine after being injured and said he was going to play, and then suddenly he misses practice and sits out the game. One can dream Dennis has spoke to the medical staff about the importance of the draft. You don't want your players to tank, but that doesn't mean you can't scare your players into believing they're too injured to play w/o risking further injury :)

The whole thing is bacl after 6 tbh.

Word.

...

The word is "bacl" kids.

Agreed, but assuming everyone is a one and done, Exum or Randle could be there for us if we refuel the tank.

If we had Hornacek, I wouldn't be as worried about the prospect of drafting Gordon, because his athleticism is no joke. But, w/o the shot whisperer at our disposal, we can't afford to take on anymore players who can't shoot or make their free throws.

Not me. I feel the same way about him today as I did at the beginning of the year:

He is the third option on a really, really good team, and I would happily pay him 10 per year.

I think he is talking about Aaron Gordon that plays for arizona in college

I agree...... however sitting favors would in fact give us more ping pong balls in the lottery and increase our odds of getting into that top three.
So green is correct to say "sit favors for the rest of the year"

Hehe! I made that mistake in a different thread and felt very, very foolish. I'd certainly pick Gordon later, but not in the top-10. Maybe the Jazz can trade the 23rd and 36th to move up. The draft may not be quite as mind-blowing as originally thought, but the 1st round is pretty deep. Still wouldn't count out a player like Harrison with the GS pick. He could solidify the guard rotation, picking up mins behind Burke and Burks (if Neto isn't the answer).

Probably not going to sit the rest of the season, but I'd defintely make him sit out another week - minimum. He already had hip problems earlier, came back, and now is bothered again. DL and the Jazz medical staff need to meet with him and outline a physical therapy plan. Any "injuries" the Jazz players incur have to be treated very conservatively: rest and therapy instead of rushing them back into games.

And this is why Utah is becoming the Timberwolves and Philly will win a title in the next five years.

i'm pretty much skeptical on all of prospects maybe except jabari.

so if we gon tank, we got to tank like a true tank boss

This.

Seriously, OP, this actually means we're not tanking/looking at Embiid, Wiggings, et al.

How did you and spycam miss the implied meaning of my post? Let me spell it out for you.

1.jazz currently set to draft in 6-8 range after going through a long stretch of .500 ball.
2. Jazz brass goes to Utah game to check out prospect in 6-8 range.
3. Aaron Gordon (prospect in 6-8 range on most mocks) has horrible game and fouls out with 3 pts.
4. Jazz brass reconsiders their lackluster tank, possibly refueling so they don't get stuck with a pick past #5 range.
