What's new

Mebbe Deron should autta just keepz his big mouth shut sometimes, ya know?

I want us to keep Carlos, but we need to find a C that can protect the paint to pair with him. Yeah, he struggles against the Lakers, but so do most bigs. Amare was able to score at a good clip, but 6 RPG is pathetic for a guy as big and athletic as Amare. Jeff Green was pathetic. KG scored okay, but was 6 rebounds per game? Child please.

Amare: 25 PPG, 6 RPG, 53%
Jeff Green: 12 PPG, 5 RPG, 33%
Kevin Garnett: 15 PPG, 6 RPG, 51%
Carlos Boozer: 16 PPG, 13 RPG, 45%
Subtract 3 RBs/g for Boozer camping under the rim, not playing defense.
Subtract another 3 RBs/g that he snatched away from other players, rendering his stats inflated but redundant.
So I'd take Millsap's 18/8 (and 2x blocking rate and fewer TOs) over Boozer's adjusted 20 and 7 (not sure where you got 16 PPG. Maybe it's dyslexia).
Spend Boozer's money on a legit player from 2 to 5. Or take on Elton Brand's contract in order to land the #2. Or neither.

Because that's what he averaged against the Lakers in these playoffs, smarty pants. Way to make fun of the truly unfortunate people that do have dyslexia though. You are a ****ing bad *** man! Yes, Booze's D leaves much to be desired and he does snatch rebounds from smaller players, but I'd much rather have him attack the boards than stay on the ground and try to snatch boards with one hand a la Kevin Garnett in the finals. Garnett cleans up the glass in Game 7 like he is capable of...slowed by injury or not...and the Celtics are planning a parade right now.

Not for me. Maybe you shouldn't download so much ****.

Edit: Rhymes with horn.

If I aint mistook, that's yo post right above this one here, aint it, Game?

Edit: Oopz, wrong Game. That's good ole S2 up there. Same difference, though, I spect.

Boozer has had six years of chances--five of them with Deron--to take the Jazz farther than he did. FAIL.

Garnett is 33 years old, so the comparisons to Boozer aren't precise, but if Boozer were half the defender that Garnett is, then Utah would have put up some W's vs. the LAL's.

And it's not that Boozer snatches rebounds from smaller opposing players; that's fine. He snatches them from his own teammates, sometimes by camping around the rim (see the "not playing defense" part) and even occasionally pushing them out of the way. No thanks. Even it makes the Jazz worse (which I don't think it will, if for no other reason that playing Boozer + Millsap together DOESN'T WORK vs. the Lakers, and hasn't done so for the past 2 or 3 years), I don't want Boozer on this team.

Compelling and rich.

I know, that's what I was saying as well. I don't think he really does it on purpose most of the time, though. He just attacks every rebound and often beats his teammates to the ball, which is why he is an elite rebounder in this league. I'm well aware of all of Boozer's shortcomings, but he is outstanding offensively and I think pairing him with a C that can protect the paint would cover up a lot of Booze's deficiencies.

Are Boozer haters really resigned to complaining that he get too many rebounds?

Boozer haters have been delusional for several years now. It's almost as bad as fans suggesting that we were a better team with Maynor as our starting PG than with Deron.

I've barely been on this board since it was rebuilt, so I figured I had some catching up to do today. Then I read this post and realized I didn't miss anything.

Well, Chad, I spoze that all depends on how easily ya gits annoyed, eh? Less annoyin, for me, at least, that them 3 mile long, 1/16" wide quotations ya see in a first post if ya don't change it, eh?

If you are trying to be AINTNUTHIN' that's probably the worst impression of him. I can tell right away you aren't the real aint.

Well, Deron of course is going to do what he can to try and help make the Jazz better...the problem is he's not the one responsible for paying these people's salaries nor does he have a lot of pull (or, maybe he does?) as to how much the FO is willing to spend. Also, convincing Boozer to stay is a lot easier than getting FA's from elsewhere to come to Utah. Deron had spoken about it in an interview not long ago about how he loves Salt Lake and how nice a place it is to raise a family, and that he's trying to convince others around the league about it...those who have their own pre-conceived notions about the area, an issue which has plagued us for so long now.
