Memo traded to NJ

I've just read the news. I think it's another Billy King / KOC cooperation from which both the Jazz and the Nets, at least on the paper, benefit. I know that Brook will have a foot surgery, and the Nets are working to convince Deron and Dwight. From all perspectives, it makes sense for them and for us.

Just the fact that Memo has been as loyal as anybody have played with him in his time w/ Jazz and that he has done much more to make the Jazz a playoff contender than to prevent them from being there and competing and that he sincerely wanted to remain as a Jazzman till the end make this rational trade move unbearable to me.
I still think that Memo will be a Jazzman when he retires from the NBA, bold prediction maybe. I believe that an organization's future and long-term health, production quality outweighs lots of reasons that can be suggested by many here protesting this kind of a franchise move. We have at most 1-2 years to get used to Corbin era, which, at one time, seemed impossible to become true considering the Sloan , long live, effect in Utah, let alone the Jazz. I , and suppose many in Utah, cannot imagine seeing Memo in another jersey but this is the character of this market. I'm telling market, because basketball, itself, has become secondary to the fight of GM's and merciless, collective race of owners to steal the money out of people's pocket.

The trade exception from the trade is huge, IMO, while 2nd round pick thing is a bit overrated. Two things that would make me grief-stricken, angry, you name it, are - if the Jazz traded Memo to bring AK back. Yes, we need a wing/SG but please let it be a physical, durable, shooter player. The Association is not in scarcity of wings.
- if the trade talks started suddenly and KOC did pull the trigger without any further thinking, evaluation. Memo is not an ordinary NBA player for this team and I think he does not deserve to be traded in such a hurry, scenario.

The Jazz are now set up to have one of the best offseasons ever. With potential draft picks, tradable vets and a 10 million trade exception. I have to say KOC has us in a great position. If these young guys play well this year we could acquire the necessary players to become bonafide contenders next year.

WOW! This is great job by KOC. Great move.

+ for this trade exception we could land a lot better player than Memo (with all do respect)
+ more minutes for our bigs, who are all better at this moment than Okur
+ a 2nd rounder
+ more minutes for Memo at NJ

- yep, it's always sad, but in a tough league like that sometimes you gotta make such decisions

I like the move!

Wasn't there a trade between Utah/Lakers several years ago that almost went thru but Odum refused to come here?
