Move Marvin to backup PF maybe ?
So what if Jazz offer both Millsap and Jefferson reasonable contracts and they both accept?
Any body OK with that?

Milsap is truly a little bitch about this "I am a starter" nonsense. He is obviously not a team player. I hope he is gone Jul 1st. I can see him ending up in Charlotte were he would be a "star" and never worry about not starting again.

I'd rather have Favors as a 5 anyway - he can't guard the stretch 4's and the defensive sets we've seen with Al at the 5 and Favors at the 4 have been ugly.
Favors, Millsap and Kanter can/should all play about 30mpg next year if the subsitutions are done right.

Do you ever do anything but troll threads you don't want to read?Dutch already started a thread on this, but thank you for being so much more important that you needed your very own thread.
Sign and trades are much harder to sell now a days. No incentive for the player or their new team to give their old team anything in return. The bottom line is, we need a good 3d big as much as we need a combo guard next year. If we have Bird's rights of Millsap and AJ (and no other team does), which is the case now, since we did not trade them, it give us much better chance to get a really good third big. Either Millsap or AJ to add to Kanter and Favors would be terrific. We would have a great 3 men rotation. Also, since we do have Bird's right for these guys, we could still end up in a sign and trade for one of them. Rather than getting Bledsoe, who is just OK and is an inferior player to either Millsap or AJ, and give up picks in the process, better keep them and have a better chance of getting a good 3d big on the roster, and having a sign and trade possibilities in the off season.

Think about it, if Sap is traded doesn't that increase the chances Al is resigned. Me personally I'd rather resign Millsap and make him the 6th man off the bench.
With him and Al as free agents, I would guess the jazz would prefer to sign Millsap since he would probably command less money then Al. With Al gone, this allows Hayward to start, and Sap becomes sixth man. Make Burks the backup pg unless we draft Burke or another pg.
Rotation
Mo. Foye rookie
Hayward. Burks Foye
Marvin (he will opt into his final year). Carroll. Millsap
Favors Millsap
Kanter. Favors free agent
Overall I think this is a team that struggles out of the gate, but gets better. With Al out of the picture this becomes a very good defensive team with lots of potential on offense, also with Al gone maybe this gets Marvin more involved in the offense.

This lost all cred when you said Sap to the bench. Now don't get me wrong it's a great idea, but it will NEVER happen. Corbin would never do it, and maybe Sap would never accept it.
Otherwise it could/should be going on right now. As I've said all season. Big Al and Favors together, and Kanter/Sap makes more sense.
