Case in point.
Right... That IS the point...

The downside is that if we had drafted Glannis, I'm not sure that we would have made a move for Rudy as well. Whatever it took to get Rudy here is fine with me. I am not greedy. Would love to see that dude suit up ASAP though. . .
We wouldn't have needed to trade for Rudy. We had picks 14 and 21. We could have stood pat and drafted both. But we made two trades. I'm ecstatic that we got Rudy. But I certainly would rather have Giannis than trey.
Yeah we needed shooting IIRC and another Kirilenko clone wasn't going to get it done... I think the main reason Corbin wanted Trey was for his shooting which unfortunately didn't quite pan out.
Trey isn't a total bust, and at least we did better than most of the other teams by picking Rudy.
Can you imagine though:
Exum
Hayward
Giannis
Favors
Gobert.
I call it the big balls lineup. It's the antithesis of the small ball trend
Big, but worse than the other lineup.I'll do you 1 better, pick Giannis with our first pick, then Dieng with our 2nd pick, then buy the Gobert pick as well and we'll have:
Exum
Giannis
Favors
Dieng
Gobert
Now THAT'S a BIGGGG lineup.
