Minnesota finalizing 2 year $20MM deal with AK - per Y!Woj

Why would it be sarcastic? Sure, AK was overpaid, but in other respects he got a raw deal with Utah because as much as you want to say he didn't work hard enough to maximize his talent, he also wasn't used properly by Jerry -- Jerry even admitted it. Deron also played his part in it. So, AK never really got the opportunity to maximize his talent here, plus there were injuries that contributed to it. Glad he's back and a lot healthier too, from what I've seen of his play with CSKA.

I know the tough guy are going to say, he cried, OMG, what a whining baby. The same guys are whiners on this site.

Because Trout is a character. But thanks for answering my question that you wouldn't necessarily know the answer to.

He got overpaid again?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!??!?!?!?!?!

He's actually getting less than Green, Batum, Humphries, Wallace. You can argue that all 4 of those guys got overpaid, but this is right on par with what a player of his caliber would get on the open market. I think this is a great signing for AK/Minny. He thrives in Europe and he now gets to play with the best Euro playmaker in the league. Plus I think he'll play much better for Adelman than he did for Jerry.

OK, Troutbum answered my question in another thread. Not sarcastic. I'm glad to see AK back in the NBA, but I'm shaking my head at the thought of him getting $10m per year.

This could be true. Hopefully he at least manages to play in 70+ games. That hasn't happened since 2007-08.

Darn, 5 less threads in here per day....
Seriously though, good luck to him. Wolves actually look to be getting better.

I think they'll make a serious run at the playoffs, pending Rubio being at or near full strength by the end of the season.

Wolves were all ready my 2nd favorite team. This just makes me like them more. I know AK isn't too popular around here, but, he was my favorite player after Stockton left and before Matthews came. I look forward to watching them play.

Before Rubio started playing for them, I don't think anyone other than a Wolves-first fan had said that in at least 4 or 5 years.

You will find no bigger AK fan than me. I wanted him back on a reasonable 4 or 5 million dollar deal. What i cant figure out is why the wolves are paying 10 million per. Where there other teams with offers greater than 5 million per annum?

I just noticed the amount he is getting HELL NO!!! wow, Wolves must really really hope he can play like he used to...a few years back.....10 mil, wow...no thanks...
Still hope he does well, but that is alot of pressure on him now I would say.

So will he compete with the #2 pick from last year for the 'playing out of position sf with crazy athleticism, but can't shoot a lick from 3pt land' spot on the Wolves roster?
Glad that Minny got rid of Wesely Johnson.
Hope the second year is only partially guaranteed.
