Most likely. It doesn't make sense for them to draft a 3/4 in Williams when they have Love, Beasley, Johnson and Webster, having a big hole in the 5 spot.

but kanter and kevin love doesnt seem to complement eachother
for exm both favors and kanter is PF but they can be a very good couple in the front court

I thought you guys have been praising that Kanter is Al Jefferson with jumpshot and length, no? How does that not complement Kevin Love?

And now Kanter is a PF??? I am confused.

Haven't read through this thread yet but this news goes to show how much of a moron Kahn is. The night they got the 2nd pick they came out and said they'd field trades for it. And now they've done a 180? Right, like I believe they wouldn't trade it.

More like a 90.

The real scoop

Their phone has not been ringing much after letting everyone know that they are open to trading the pick, so he let people know they are keeping it OR maybe they will trade it. lol
They definitely want to trade the pick. One player in this weak draft won't help them much as bad as they are. They need multiple players and/or picks.

I personally see it going one of 2 ways: keep it and draft Kanter or trade it to (or pick for) Washington who in turn picks Kanter. I think we have the best player in the draft slip to us without giving up anything, and thats DWill2.

That's the prayer. If the jazz could get Williams and Biyombo managed to fall down to the #12 that would be the draft of my dreams.

Just trying to push up the value. But it might not be there. There are no overwhelming top 4 or 5 players like there were last year. A team can essentially stay at 6-8 and get the same or similar player to who they might draft at #2...unless Kanter is THE player they want.

I just hope Cleveland decides on Irving and then Washington (or Minny) takes Kanter. That leaves the Jazz with Williams. You could match him up against big SF's while Hayward could play the 3 against smaller ones. I'd really like to see us go Harris-Hayward-Williams-Favors-Jefferson. That creates a lot of mismatches.

I like the offensive mismatches, but would be interested to see how that line up would defend.

I think Favors (at the 4) and Hayward (at the 2) have already shown they are going to be above average defensive players. Jefferson is the one I worry most about with his defense of the pick and roll.
