Minny & Cavs 2025 picks watch thread

lol, I wasnt aware he was still playing and then I saw him chearing at the end of the bench

he's not playing, he and patty mills are the best paid cheerleaders in the NBA. Ben Simmons had that job but this year is a contract year...

Donte playing as poorly as he was was never going to last- he was worth trading for for a reason. Sometimes fit and familiarity are very important for mid-high players- they have to get comfy before really grooving. Looks like it may be that way for him.

Why in the hell is Sochan out there for the Spurs on that last possession. Spurs deserve the L based on that alone.
Spurs are one great starter away from being a legitimate playoff team. If they miss the PO they are only going to get a late lottery pick, and im not sure this draft is great for late lottery picks. I think they should push some chips in.

Watching the Spurs last night... they honestly might be a top 6 team if they landed Sexton. They need someone that can create an advantage off the dribble in the worst way. It would really open things up for them.

100% Sexton is a guy they should get. He could even be a baby step towards Fox (who I don't think gets moved until the offseason). They have zero juice off the dribble.

The problem is that Sexton's advantage disappears once he gets within 12 feet of the basket and teams (including the Spurs) know it. Playing with blinders on has been Collin's biggest flaw since he first stepped on an NBA floor. He's not nearly good enough (or consistently willing) at feeding open guys after beating his own defender with his elite first step. He can do it sometimes but you can't count on it.

Sexton has unlimited confidence, so he challenges bigs, gets blocked, falls down and then it's a 4-on-3 fast break. Rinse and repeat.

I'm really not sure you are watching or paying attention. He's pretty damn good from 0-15 feet. Legit three level scorer. He makes a fair amount of decent passes as well. Tons of turnovers this year but also dealing with a broken finger and its quite a bit higher than last year. It would be a big improvement over Tre/Vassell/CP creating on the perimeter. This is not the Cleveland Cavalier Sexton at all.

People keep saying these things but the league refuses to agree. Sexton has been on the trading block for most of his career, and Ainge is the only one who ever pulled the trigger... because he needed an entertaining tank commander.
