What's new

MLB Postseason

If there's anything better than seeing the Yankees get eliminated, it's seeing them get eliminated in blowout fashion.

<sigh>

Ah, well.

Got to the ALCS, which is more than 13 other AL teams can say.

95 wins.

I'm not your typical Yankee fan that's like "World Series or the whole thing is a failure"... I felt good about the season. I didn't think they'd get far into the playoffs before they even started, and was tickled that they pulled off a series victory against the O's.

So all in all, I'm happy with how things went, even if they didn't go all the way.

Now if they can just hold off on blowing the team to shreds... we'll see.

It's just as well, because typical Yankee fans are like typical Lakers fans: annoying as hell.

Any team with a major amount of success is like that. Even the Cardinals of the NL are. Looks like they are on their way toward another WS appearance. Can't say the same about my Cubs. Haven't been to a WS since 1945 and haven't won a WS since 1908. Such is life.

It's always interesting to me how baseball "curses" get so much attention because of how long they are due to baseball having been around seemingly forever. To me it seems crazy that the Jazz haven't won a championship in their, what, 37 or 38 years of existence, but at least the time period pales in comparison to the Cubs.

The cool thing about baseball is how unique all the ballparks are. I love watching games at San Francisco's ballpark.
