The last key number here is the tax apron at $138.928 million. This is the number the Jazz are hard capped at. Given that the Jazz are already over the tax, it behooves them to use the BAE as well. Brantley was extended a QO, so his spot is safe. My guess is that the Jazz try to find a worthwhile player on the BAE to replace Tucker's spot.

Here is the dilemma the Jazz face. A rookie minimum salary is $898,000. All of the Stars guys are slated to earn in the 1.7-1.8 million range reduced to 1.6 for cap purposes. I can feel the pulse of NWG, Morgan, Brantley, Tucker, JWF and Oni getting weaker. It sounds like the Jazz like Oni but the rest could hit the waiver wire and replaced by minimum wage rookies to get around the LT.
