More Bolomboy, less Diaw

Pleiss with a monster game in Euroleague today. Not saying his dumpage was not the right call, but he showed some of the potential that led the Jazz to sign him.

He sucked big time till this game though. Hope it is his breakout game. Could be that he is getting used to Turkey and Galatasaray.

Some big names from not so big names from Gal. today. Great win for them. Two classic games going on now. Would have liked to see Jankunas give NBA a try a few seasons ago.

Utah's offense is based primarily in getting the ballhandler's defender in a compromising position. Diaw's strength deals with off ball movement, whether creating it or passing to it.

How many meaningful off ball screens do the Jazz run? I mean, I understand that defenses of today are switching on everything and playing what amounts to modified match up zone, making off ball stuff harder, but you see last night, one play in particular where the initial action commences and Diaw end up with the ball at top of three point line, what does he see, not action on the strong side to get leaked players cutting to hoop, but three guys strong side waiting for Diaw to pass low block to Joe Johnson, who's half-fronted and only can receive a safe, soft lob pass 20 feet on the wing post up.

So much pressure on having to break down a defense while dribbling. That's not Diaw's game.

I'd rather rub my hand of a cheese grater than see Diaw get anymore minutes.

He has done nothing for us. He needs to be a break the glass in case of emergency guy at this point.

He's actually not a good fit next to Rudy either. If Rudy comes to contest a shot he needs someone to at least pretend to be interested in moving over to get a rebound.

Lyles needs 30+ minutes at this point... not that he's been great but it will at least help him get more experience and work through his issues.
