More Republicans try and kill Democrats

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., previously liked social media posts supporting the execution of Pelosi.

Nancy Pelosi has been featured prominently in Republican ads and right-wing media attacks for years, with an uptick recently leading into November’s midterm elections. Last year, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said that “it will be hard not to hit” Pelosi with the speaker’s gavel if he takes over the position in 2023

DePape was an adherent of a number of conspiracies promoted in right-wing media, including QAnon and the belief that the 2020 election was stolen. DePape also cast doubt on preventative COVID actions like vaccinations and wearing masks, promoted antisemitic beliefs and defended former President Donald Trump.
Again, how is this any different than your typical Republican voter and/or politician?

Qanon? Check.
Anti mask/vax? Check.
Worships Trump? Check.
Believes in the Big Lie? Check.
Even the racism and anti-semiticism is becoming normalized.

Because I Don’t put people on ignore. I like to read peoples opinions and views. If you ignore peoples opinions and views and only read one side then you don’t have a full view of each topic.
You don’t have a full view of each topic when you intentionally misunderstand or lie about what people post either. You become offended when I accurately call out the bigotry of your tribe. So are you really seeking understanding or desire confirmation? I’m not sure how you’re coming out ahead.

But they don't have to be Republican (tm) in order to be a conspiracy nut who has bought into QAnon.
I'm about to blow your brains all the way out of your brains right now. The entire world does not rotate around R vs D.
I'll give you the rest of the week to recover from this bombshell.

I left this site about two years ago due to all sorts of things, but especially because my life got very busy. I came back tonight because I am blown away by this Jazz team and far more interested than I ever expected to be. But of course the first thing I notice is that the political nincompoopery is still alive and well around here. It's pretty funny that yet again the left wing media and all of their fanboys seem to have fallen head over heels for a story that is falling apart as the actual facts come to light. The attack is an embarrassment for our country and a sign of failing systems, but it doesn't look like the attacker is very similar to the person that we were initially told that he was. Among other inconsistencies, the initial 911 call indicated that he was an acquaintance of Paul Pelosi. The police have so far been unwilling to release the body cam video that could clear up a lot about the altercation that was, by all accounts, quite unusual. The attacker has been described by people who know him as a mentally deranged drug addict. He lives in a dilapidated school bus that's decorated by a Black Lives Matter flag and a Gay Pride flag. His social media presence appears to have spontaneously appeared on the same day that the attack occurred. That is just a small sampling of the inconsistencies in this story. It might be a good idea to give investigators some time to collect the facts before jumping to conclusions. And It might be a really good idea for investigators to be transparent by releasing the body cam video, etc, because there is a very good reason that the public is not nearly as trusting of the narrative being pushed by the media as they once were. Will this story be the next in a long string of errors, all misreported in the same direction, that we have become so accustomed to? Covington High School, Jussie Smollett, Hunter Biden laptop, The Dossier, etc, etc, etc. When will it all end? I used to think there had to be a limit to the insanity, but I think I have long ago been proven absolutely wrong on that count. In the mean time, I hope that Paul Pelosi makes a full recovery.

Charges have been filed. Come back once you've examined the discovery and back up your claims. It will become a matter of public record.

I'm not going to hold my breath.

This is a misinformation now and ignore what kind of nonsense we floated later situation for MAGA dupes. Facts will be known relatively soon. It is important for MAGA to feed their dupes an alternative reality now so that once their attention focuses elsewhere and the facts of this case become better known and a matter of public record they are all up in arms over the next wave of disinformation they are consuming.

I'd like a historical record of the claims of the MAGA universe in real time compared to where they stand on those issues today. This is like an ADHD nightmare of pushing easily disproven narratives and then forgetting what claims we were actually shouting from the rooftops a few weeks ago once the information is more easily confirmed or discredited.

MAGA has a very poor track record of backing up these misinformation narratives in the long term. The fact is they don't care.

I might make a little hobby of examining Joe Bags final claims before he disappeared for two years and seeing if he's still interested in speaking in support of those claims today.

If he was a grindr date gone wrong that info should be part of discovery and available to the public.
Stunning, or actually NOT, to see Elon Musk tweet a link to the article, to Hillary Clinton(!!), that spread all that nonsense. He has over 100 million followers. Hours later, without any explanation, he deletes it. If this guy was responsible, he would tweet an apology to those millions of followers, many of whom must have run with that crap. And he does this within days of taking control of Twitter. The guy will be as bad as Trump on Twitter…

Seriously, welcome back! Sounds like you fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. Why not just examine that “news outlet” that first spread that nonsense? There’s good reason why it has absolute zero credibility.

A look at the history of this “news” source. It all originated with the Santa Monica Observer, Joe. Are you sure you want to hang your reliance for info on this outlet?:

“Last year, a Times editorial said the Observer was “notorious for publishing false news,” including claims in 2016 that Hillary Clinton was actually dead and that a body double debated Donald Trump. Months after the Clinton claim, the news site also incorrectly reported that Trump had appointed Kanye West to a high-level position in the Interior Department. More recently, the Observer falsely reported that Bill Gates was responsible for a polio epidemic, according to the editorial”.

Ya the famous "dossier" we heard about so much that was supposed to be some big bombshell. Well John Durham was appointed by William Barr to investigate and he spent two years on the investigation. What did he come up with? Nothingburger.

Yep

  • A federal affidavit debunks far-right conspiracy theories about the attack on Paul Pelosi.
  • Twitter's new owner Elon Musk tweeted then deleted a baseless report about a dispute with a male prostitute.
  • Pelosi told authorities he had never seen the suspect before, according to the affidavit.
Since Paul Pelosi, 82, was attacked in his home with a hammer on Friday, wild and baseless theories of a homosexual tryst have been making the rounds in conservative forums, even though Pelosi told authorities he had never seen the suspect before, according to the affidavit. Right-wingers are also raising suspicions about the police account, the timing of the attack, and the attacker's background with a nudist group.

"It starts out with these weirdos, and then next thing you know, it's Ted Cruz, and then it's Marge Greene and then it's 50 people in Congress saying it by tomorrow," said criminal defense attorney Ron Filipkowski, who tracks extremists on social media. "It's the case with all these conspiracies."

DePape told authorities that he broke in with a hammer through a glass door, according to the affidavit, disproving theories that the glass was broken from the inside. The attacker entered the bedroom where Paul Pelosi was sleeping and said he wanted to talk to "Nancy," according to the affidavit.

DePape told authorities that he was planning to break "her kneecaps" if she lied, though it's unclear in the affidavit about what.

Elon Musk, in a now-deleted tweet, said there might be "more to the story" and shared a link to a baseless report in the conspiracy-peddling Santa Monica Observer with the headline, "The Awful Truth: Paul Pelosi Was Drunk Again, And In a Dispute With a Male Prostitute Early Friday Morning." Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a controversial Republican of Georgia referred to Pelosi's attacker as his "friend" and backed up Musk, tweeting that "the media is the source of misinformation."

Musk's message and link had been retweeted more than 30,000 times and liked more than 110,000 times before being deleted less than an hour later, according to The New York Times.

Filipkowski tweeted on Sunday that Musk's post was being reposted by QAnon and right-wing accounts on multiple social media platforms.

"The owner of Tesla and Twitter posted it. The dark corners of the internet are now mainstreamed," he wrote.

San Francisco district attorney Brooke Jenkins tried to correct the record on Sunday. "We have nothing to suggest that these two men knew each other prior to this incident," Jenkins said

Jenkins also said the attacker was looking for Nancy Pelosi and that reports that a third person was at the home were untrue.

The GQP is the party of qanon, misinformation, lies, (false) conspiracy theories, fake news, and greed.
