Mountain West Conference run the for the Utah Jazz

I would love to land Leonard at the #12....and can hit the open 3. What more do you want from your SF?
Since when did Leonard develop a consistent 3-point shot? He's a good athlete and all, but the biggest knock on him is in fact his shooting (32% on catch-and-shoot jumpers) and you're the first person I've seen say he "can hit the open 3." I don't know how shooting sub-30% every season from 20 feet 9 inches will translate to moving 3 feet back against better athletes that close out quicker in the NBA.

Chad Ford sounded pretty impressed by his improved stroke. Albeit we haven't seen him put that into effect in a real game, it is reasonable to think that he will improve his shot. Hayward shot the same % from 3 his sophomore year that Leonard did. He worked hard to improve his range and it worked. Maybe Leonard can do the same.

To say Leonard CAN'T hit the open 3 is more of stretch than saying he CAN in my opinion. I watched a lot of SDSU games this past season and I am surprised to see his 3 point percentage so low. I knew he wasn't lights out by any means, but it seemed like he hit a lot more than he did. Maybe I just watched the right games or something.. But there is one big factor that is hard if not impossible to teach and that's his unrelenting drive. I don't think we could get better value at the 12th pick. Unfortunately, I'm certain he will be gone by then.

Hayward also shot 45% from 3 in the prior season - while Leonard shot 20%. Hopefully Chad Ford is correct when he talks about his improved stroke in recent workout - it's just to this point he hasn't shown it in live game action.
