This article [LINK] by the ESPN Ombudsman discusses this exact issue in regard to "The Decision", another example of the organisation pandering to an individual at the expense of its integrity.I don't think people realize what a big deal this is. Not for Lebron, but for ESPN (although the Lebron part is a pretty sad commentary on professional athletes). ESPN has a huge investment in the NBA. They pay the NBA a lot of money to televise the games. It appears that ESPN was trying not to offend its business partner. The only problem with this is, they are a news organization. They have to report it how it is and can't show a bias.
