What's new

My faith in Exum has been broken

In the long run it could be beneficial for Utah if Exum's a late-bloomer in the league and that allows for them to get a nice discount on re-signing him. There's obviously a long recent history of players improving for many years consecutively.

Completely agree. Unless some team throws him a ridiculous offer next year.

Not usually. Reference Cavalier's scouting skills & the pool of "talent" in the 2013 draft class, and the answer becomes clearer. 2013 draft had most talent at 15 and 27.
I hate thinking about that 2013 Draft (except the part where we picked Gobert). Instead of trading for Trey Burke, we could've kept our #14 pick to select Antetekoumpo. He would be the best player on the team and we wouldn't be worrying if Hayward leaves or stays right now...

Or used the #9 pick on mccollum like i wanted them to do at the time.

You're right dude. This forum believed for years that Tomic was ever going to come over or that Kanter was going to be a beast. Look how that turned out LOL

Enes is mentally disabled and Tomic is way too skinny to match up with iron solid guys in the nba. I wouldnt put Exum on the same page with those guys, hopefully he will become something in years to come.

I agree, NAOS. I can understand being tentative coming off his injury. But his dad was a pro. Dante had a year off when he could have worked on his shooting. He had a lot of rehab time when all he could do was shoot. Where are the results? I think some of it is conditioning; Dante can't play more than 2 mins without clutching his shorts like a 50 yr old rec league player. Do we hear of Dante spending time before or after practice shooting? Dante has to decide if he wants to put in the work to be a starting PG or just hang around the league as a backup. He'll definitely get paid for his potential for 1 more contract.

Exum isn't even playing and people still complaining about him...LOL.

I'm not an Exum hater - far from it.

But you should show your team more respect than flipping through your cell phone during a game. It's basic immaturity.

That and I'm sure it's against team rules.

What if he had a family member in the hospital and he was getting updates on his phone? You don't know what he was doing on his phone.

I guarantee all those guys have their phones on them when they aren't playing and I don't really care tbh. I don't know about Fire/hard work and if Exum had it... but he's still got a long way to go and will likely be paid more on his next deal than it is worth. If there is nothing good on the trade market then fine keep trying... if I was offered a mid first rounder I think I'd take it. George Hill is the PG of the future and present... maybe even the past... his greatness is one eternal circle.

Then I would guess he'd be excused from attending the game; wouldn't you?

I know you're a contrarian but this is ridiculous even for you.
