Gaiz, I'm all over dong on this one. Get a grip. Y'all have to be yanking my chain. Teh Jazz are better than LA. We're def girthier inside and we have balls, unlike Boozer. We're going to tea bag those wangs. Hard.

Hayward isn't going to improve much at this point, and Burks probably won't either. Pretty much a wash from last year assuming these two are your starter and backup.

This looks to be a step backwards. (of course you might start Burks at the 2 and start Hayward at the 3, not sure how that'll play out)

Another one that looks like a step back, assuming Corbin played Marvin over Enes for good reason.

C - Favors, Gobert

Looks like we're going to have a very similarly strengthed team as last season to me. I don't see how we finish anywhere but last in the West again. Well, unless Kobe is unhealthy or Exum is lightning in a bottle, but summer league didn't indicate that is the case. So, you'd have to see if any of the other teams got better or worse near us. I don't have time to do that right now, but, I suspect that Orlando, Boston, and the Bucks will all be a little stronger. Philly will probably still suck.

It's going to be a tough year. But, at least we don't have Corbin or any vets on the team to lean on. So, it should be entertaining.

Burke + Exum is a sizable upgrade over Burke+Lucas+Tinsley who earned us our record last year. Just a healthy Burke all year is a pretty decent upgrade. Having a point who can run an offense in the backup role legitimizes our bench. Just Exum as he is now can run an offense off the bench. You undervalue the improvement here.
Burks appears to be the 2 guard as of now. He should be improved, but unless Exum blossoms a bit, the bench looks weak here. Moving Hayward weakens this position, but an increase of time for Burks will help even that out.
SF- Hayward beats the snot out of Jefferson all day long at this position. I like the maturity of Hood off the bench. SF is greatly upgraded.
PF- Kanter + Booker is better than out of position Marvin + Kanter, but it remains to be seen how much. If we need a stretch 4, we have one of the NBA's best shooters off the bench.
C- Favors + a better Gobert is a definite upgrade.
To be saying that the Jazz really haven't improved is just poormouthing the team.
 
so what's the serious answer here? I am genuinely curious but for whatever reason this particular thread is difficult for me to read/follow.

also for your stretch 4 comment. Kanter will be a part time stretch 4 and i think kanter will be much improved overall.
Snyder already said that kanter gonna let er fly from deep this year

From what I saw in the SL, if we run the same system and the players run it fairly well it will be the biggest positive factor in the Jazz improvement. If they can't hit an open 3 though I could see jazzfanz reverting back to Corbin hatred levels.

I say that the new system/coaching gets us 10 more wins, and better players that are used better get us another 5.
40 wins, just under .500 ball.

I think most people will give us Philly, Orlando, Milwaukee, and Boston. Up for argument are the Lakers, Sacramento, and the Timberwolves.
