You are absolutely right. But I can't remember having a "sirloin" that didn't need a little something extra to make it worth the calories.

Umm spend a couple dollars more and get a better cut. Sirloin should just be called fajita meat.

I don't have a heathen palate so I always put A1 on the steaks I cook at home (nicer restaurant cuts take peppercorn sauce, obv.). I don't see any reason in denying myself modern delicacies just to cling to some old world eating ritual.

Speaking of peppercorn sauce, I was at La Jolla Groves in the Gateway and my wife ordered a steak. They didn't have A-1 so we asked for peppercorn sauce. The waiter, a guy in his late 40's, brought us some peppercorn ranch. WTF?

Mostly the latter, IMO (in combination with the meat just being ****ty quality in general on top of it being a bad cut).

That's what I said. Besides, I enjoy a "****y piece of meat" with A1 as much as I enjoy a "****ty hamburger" with ketchup and mustard. I'm not a cave dweller or other wild animal, and like cheap meat with a little seasoning on/in it.

You know what's really crazy though, sometimes I get in a hurry and take 'em straight from refrigerator to the grill, and don't wait five minutes before cutting into it either.

You steak snobs are missing out on such a good thing. Quick, cheap steak with delicious A1 is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Eh to each their own. I was raised not to use sauces on my steak so now that's what I like. My oldest daughter likes A1 and my youngest ketchup. So I have all three being used when we have steaks.

If you think that's evidence of homosexual tendencies, then you probably have a raging case of teh homophobia.

BTW, if a woman tells you 4 or 5 times that your fundamentalism is probably a sign of your daddy issues... she isn't coming on to you.
