Austin rivers fall down as low as 11 which corresponds to GSW pick.

He was presented as one of the hottest talents among his ages. Is the next years draft too good or he isnt that good as mentioned before?

And how many people thinks we will be able to use the gsw pick next yr or they will just suck and the pick will be delayed?

someones gotta cool the air till 23rd. there r already too intense arguements for 2011

I'm going bat sh** thinking about 2011, but a couple things I notice about 2012:

1) There are a lot of wings projected in this draft

2) There are no centers in the top 20 - so if the Jazz want to draft a quality C, they'd better do it this year. Seriously, Tyler Zeller is the highest rated C in NBADraft.net's projection.

True. Also VERY light on PG's (as well as 2013). Next year is LOADED with SF's and PF's. FREAK athletes and do-it-all ballers.

To answer the OP's question ... Rivers will NOT be on the board after 5 or 6, imo.

so we come to the point, we better get knight n kanter together this year

I will be very surprised if the Jazz did that. KOC has already said he wants to retool rather than rebuild. Assuming we would either trade away Harris or Jefferson, that would makes us ridiculously young.

Agree Rex (eek). I think we should go BPA at #3 (probably not Knight) and pick up a PG in FA in the next 24 months.

i think its good to be young. Harris n Jefferson will probably bring us nowhere, but a young core of knight hayward favors n kanter may take us in a very good point in a few yrs.
I think KOC made a very good draft choice with hayward last yr, and in the dwills yr. I can also include Koufos too, he just couldnt improve himself but he was a good prospect in his rookie year. So i trust in KOC. But the situation is not easy to get both Knight n Kanter at the same time. They r like the 2 of the best 5-6 players in this yrs draft. Making such a move would convert KOC to a draft guru for me.

This is smart.

Hmmm... this actually has some implications on Jazz's selection this year IMO:

- 2012: 5 PGs projected in the top 18.
- 2012: The best projected PG in 2012 is the #8th pick.
- 2011: We could be picking Knight at #3th pick.

Question to Knight's supporters

"How does Knight rank amongst next year's PGs?"

Even if he's as good as the best PG in 2012 - isn't it better to wait to get him next year at #8th?

We may not even have a pick in 2012. Jazz make the playoffs, our pick goes to Minnesota. Golden State finishes in the bottom 8 and they keep their pick. I can't believe there are some who are already speculating about who might be available "when" the Jazz pick...and that the pick(s) should play a role in who we draft this week. Change that to a big IF the Jazz pick.

Yeah, I've said this for awhile. If the Jazz don't draft a big, they have to believe Favors and Jefferson will be a good future front court for a long time.

Or they could trade for someone. Every year NBA prospects emerge who weren't on the radar the previous season.
