Man, I feel so bad. These types of teams are so rare. Everyone knew their role, everyone liked one another, the chemistry was great, and they rarely ran iso plays. They reminded me of the 02/03 Kings, I loved that team.

Kawhi missed a free throw to essentially win game 6. I hope it doesn't haunt him for the rest of his career. Judging by his game 7 performance, it won't, but you have to feel terrible for the guy. Will he ever get a chance to play in the finals again?

Watching Duncan get mad at himself after missing that shot to tie it up gave me so many feels. I wanted him to have it so bad.

Losing game 6 was a team effort as well. I think the most glaring mistake was Ginobili trying to draw a foul, up 3 (IIRC), with time on the shot clock, while time is running down on the game clock, in an elimination game of the NBA finals. Refs don't want to decide the game anymore than anyone else does and he should know better. Cumulatively, Ginobili was just terrible. Shot his own team in the face repeatedly.

How comparable is this to the jazz/bulls?

The bulls had the best player in basketball and great perimeter shooting

Yet the jazz had a nice team and advantage inside but were fairly stuff when it came to playmakers.

The spurs got a tons of mileage out of 2nd rounders/d league guys. Ultimately, the heat's talent and playmaking ability prevailed.

The jazz got a ton of mileage from Bruss, Shandon Anderson, Eisley, keefe, etc...

I'll give you that.

For every 2004 Pistons, there's 10 Lakers/Bulls/Heat stacked-deck juggernaut teams.

Congrats to LeBron and the Heat.

Kudos to the Spurs.

This series was everything I was hoping for. Probably the best series I've ever seen, and I enjoyed every second of it. May we see another one this good sometime soon.

It's beside the point to me. What they and Bosh did was poison the culture of the NBA and I can't route for their success on that point alone. The Jazz have no chance if every team's franchise player just gives up and bounces to LA, NY, Miami, Chicago, or Boston.

They aren't all built like that. What about OKC?

Its possible to built a great team in any city. Most players just want to win. Its all about timing. You have to get your own big two or three at the same time and give them reason to stay. Its not impossible. Just harder. Its the way the Jazz do things that might stop them. This offseason will say a lot about whether or not they see how to do it.

LBJ and Wade are great examples for young kids. They play team ball. They are exceptional at it too. Them teaming up together doesn't hurt the league. The players that will follow them will be a lot better than the Starbury and Iverson generation that followed Jordan. The league is in good hands.

Jazz just have to play their hand correctly. Thats all.

I went from hating the heat, to accepting them. All they're doing is what's best for them. Congrats to them, they fought hard all the way.

I do think they're in trouble next year though... Wade won't last much longer.

Just checking. Did you mean Heat?

lol...

But yeah, Wade is aging fast. I wonder what LeBron will do next year if they win another ring, but it's clear he won't be able to win a fourth with Wade...

back to Cleveland I reckon.. unless Wade signs on for 2 more years. Then it'll get real akward. Fast.
