I believe in his 7th year you can offer him the DPE.

So this Crabbe deal with Porty sending Allen to Brooklyn is a good news deal for the Jazz... I think Brooklyn would have been a potential overpay destination for Hood or Exum and they have now taken a significant divot out of their flexibility.

It will be interesting to see how those negotiations go but I could see Hood and Exum taking lower deals than anyone would have projected a year or so ago.

After reading about our development machine I'd be tempted if he would commit. I'm guessing Orlando doesn't have that kind of a program... just a guess based on how they've been run the last 3 or 4 years.
