I'm just curious what NBA or general Basketball podcasts people are listening to?

I used to only listen to Locke, but ever since HH and Elizah put out their pod I've been listening to others. The main two that I listen to are the Hoops Collective and the Game Thoery podcast.

I think the Hoops Collective is a must listen for NBA fans. They are just so well connected that they have a lot of inside information that you don't get anywhere else. They repeat themselves a lot, and sometimes their banter is a little annoying, but overall I find myself getting through almost every episode.

The game theory podcast is a little more difficult for me and I probably only make it all the way through half their episodes, but they are pretty crazy at knowing a ton about everything basketball related. Their episodes are really long, but they do a good job of cataloging them in a way that makes it easy to find what you want. I think Brice Simons is really likeable, but I don't really get a lot from what he says. Sam Vecenie can be insufferable at times, but he is well connected and has good intel most the time.

I've tried some others, but they haven't stuck. These two, plus the non-basketball related pods I listen to are typically more than I have time for on my commute.

Which ones are you listening to and why?

Pretty much just Hoop Collective/Locked on Jazz and will do others at random based on what their topics are for that podcast.

No Dunks is fun.
KOC on Yahoo is good. He started bringing on some interesting/different guests.
Bill Simmons - Look he's a casual now and says some of the dumbest things... but its still entertaining and if he gets annoying I just bounce.
The Ringer NBA Show is solid when its Group Chat or the Mismatch (more casual and fun)
Dunc'd is pretty hit and miss
Oddball with Amin is funny
The Weekend edition of the Athletic NBA show is one of my favorites. The format is unique and fun.
You Know Ball is the nerdiest of nerd **** but can be okay.
Jackpotting Around - These guis is dummm

Thankyou very much! That's a lot. Some of them I have checked out and some of them I haven't.

Question for you and whoever else wants to answer. How many hours per week do you listen to podcasts?

I pretty much only listen in my car and on average I think I spend about 6 hours per week. Although, if there is something I'm really interested in I'll listen to it during a game (I haven't needed my full attention on a Jazz game all year).

I have a boring desk job so listen a bit during the day. Will also listen when doing some workouts.... sometimes I need music. Then doing housework. My commute is like 10 minutes these days so not a ton in the car. I am listening way too much lol.

I'll have to check it out, I haven't even heard of that one.
It's pretty much a Dan Favale driven pod. He's great at taking his job seriously, but is self-aware so that he knows his job is talking about dudes playing a game. It's a national pod, so it's very interesting to hear an outsider's take on the Jazz, as well as insights on other teams and the NBA as a whole. I haven't listened to it as much this year as my interest in the NBA is generally aligned to the success of the Jazz, but I highly recommend the podcast.

-Simmons and Russillo is a really fun listen
-Hoop Collective (but I don’t really listen post-deadline)
-Locked on Jazz
