Everything they are doing is centered on the money (I'm not condemning them). The newest proposal is a 22 team regular season type finish and a 16 game playoff. Each team would play 8 games and be seeded normally... why would they play 8 games? Seems like an arbitrary number right? Nah... if they get to 70 games they get all their TV money... 8 games puts them at 71.
Always follow the money. If I was a homicide detective the first piece of evidence I'd request was the life insurance policy.... every time.
I still don't understand this money argument. How is a shortened 19/20 AND a shortened 20/21 better on the league financially than a cancelled 19/20 and a full 20/21?
