Neto is STILL n Town... And Hiking W/ Gobert Today

Now we know why Favors is being dangled. Gobert is #hungry.
Fixed.

Seriously, Gobert is ripped! I know I'm not "Stoked," but I am so excited to see these guys in summer league. Gobert, Burke, Neto and Wiggins or Parker on the summer league team - that's quite a lineup.

Worried about Neto, though, as Jack would come over in the trade. Maybe they can flip him. Or just have Neto as the 3rd PG and let him further mature in Idaho until he's ready to be the backup. Maybe Jack gets traded at the deadline to a contender. If Garrett doesn't get picked up, Stampede sign him to a deal.

For what it's worth, when teams are looking to get stars and move assets and stuff like that, I think that team chemistry kind of gets tossed to the wayside. I've always felt that it's an important part of team building and have wondered why professional sports teams don't do more to try to genuinely put people together or provide resources for players so that they actually like each other and have fun playing.

I'm glad to hear that Neto is still in town. He genuinely wants to be here. I hope they can work out all the contract stuff and get him signed, because I'd love to see him in Quin Snyder's offense. As a true facilitating PG, I can see him doing quite well. I don't know if he's a starter, but I'm hoping that everybody starts at the same level and has to work hard to earn their starting jobs and playing time.
You can have team chemistry without hanging out with each other. I don't think Stockton and Malone hung out a lot. However, it is nice to know that people can get a long and hopefully it helps when they play and negotiate their new contracts.

I am excited about Rudy. I think he is going to be a steal in a couple of years. Looks like he worked out and is bigger. I hope Quin finds him minutes. I think Rudy got frustrated with not playing last year and that only made him work harder.

This. ^^^

Hoping his basketball skills match his attitude. I'll admit that I've been impressed with his limited sample size.

He's a kid who has a chance to be really special.

This attitude is what has been missing for a while. It is another reason why I am high on Gordon.

The luckiest guy on the planet!!! I have no idea.

Sorry, but he'd have to be sandwiched by a Brazilian Babe and a French Maid to even come close to that designation.

Let's just call him "Random Lucky Dude who hangs out with pro basketball players."

Gobert gon bust out next year
so is Slick Pimp, Ice Trey, Kanter, and Maple Jordan.

#playoffpush

Gobert looks bigger. That is a good sign. Hopefully kid is hitting weights hard.

Unfortunately, we can't really see where he should be putting on the weight (the lower body). If he can guard the post, this guy is a starter (at least eventually). IMO.

another example: last year i thought burks and kanter developed some nice chemistry.
they looked good on pick n roll/pop with burks finding kanter often and then there was thier go to play with kanter having the ball on the right low baseline and handing off to burks cutting baseline...... that play almost always resulted in a bucket or free throws. probably my favorite thing corbin implemented

Gobert @ #27?? Lol... still say he's gonna be the steal of that draft.

I still can't believe that. I missed the draft after the lottery but recorded it and was going to watch it, unspoilered, but Baby Peterzz wanted to go to a bar and talk about how exciting the draft was. It was there that I found out that the Jazz got Gobert and I couldn't ****ing believe it, it made no sense. When he told me how it went down, it was clearer, but I still don't know how he was there at #27 to begin with.

Anyway, cool story, bro, right?

Not sure Rudy is as big as some of you seem to think but he looks amazing either way. I love everything about him and hope Neto stays and is our backup point this year. I don't think it's dumb luck that eight of the players on the Spurs are foreigners and that they've been so successful because of it, at least to some degree. We don't need American egos. We need selfless guys who are gonna bust their butts and play team basketball. I have a feeling Neto and Gobert are two such guys.

A couple of us voted Gobert as the best value pick. I knew it wasn't going to happen overnight, but the way Lindsey kept talking about him, you'd think Dennis was a kid in a candy store.

This very much. ^^^^
Also the reason that I want them to just bite the bullet and get Tomic over here as well. He's older, but he might finally be able to contribute. If not, then you pay him the MLE for three years and move on or trade him. Reward greatly outweighs the cost and the risk at this point.
