New ESPN Power Rankings

What, the Griz and Sixers don't count as quality wins?? Don't the sixes have the second or third best record in the league?

Sixers are doing good granted. Grizz are not and lost ZBo before the Jazz played them. However 1 win is not enough. I could see taking them a little higher and I would redo some of the order but before we get to high they need to start winning on the road consistently and get wins against teams like OKC, Denver, Miami, San Antonio, Boston, Chicago...

who the **** cares about what ESPN thinks (or, better, doesn't think) about the Jazz

The Griz still have three good players to carry this team. Don't underrate them because of Z-Bo. They aren't Miami or OKC, but they are still above average.

If the Jazz get wins against teams like OKC, Denver, Miami, San Antonio, Boston, Chicago...they should be #1 in the Power Rankings. Right now, #13-18 range sounds about right.

What I take from this is that the Warriors are tied for the 3rd-7th worst record in the league. I like it.

12th best record in the league and 18th in power rankings...for what power rankings are, how you are doing now not the future, we should be higher. I think the rockets at 2-6 and ranked higher then us is rediculous.

I'm sure they base a lot of this on SOS (strength of schedule). The Jazz have had a good deal of relatively easy (and injured) opponents.

We'll get our chance coming up to prove ourselves. We get the Cavs, Lakers, Nets, @Nuggets, Clippers, Mavericks and Minnesota over the next two weeks.

The 1st part of our schedule is light. February, March and April are going to be brutal.

The Rockets have played the most difficult schedule of any team by far!!! Their 6 losses are as follows:

At Orlando
At Memphis
At La Lakers
At La Clippers
At OKC
Home to OKC

Their wins have come against San Antonio and Atlanta.

No freebies in their schedule. That being said, I do think we should be higher, but not by much.

So, so true.

Yeah, I have decided to soak up the hype right now, enjoy the effort, and not pay attention to the crap we are beating, the home games, or all the practices we are getting right now with all the days off we have. I'm just going to enjoy it because come Feb, reality will hit and I am scared of that. I'll dream of playoffs now, knowing in the back of my mind, I will be dreaming for Barnes later.
