MIDTOWN ATLANTA — Hoping to capitalize on DragonCon’s attendance, the proprietor of a new gentlemen’s club, Jabbu’s Hut, has announced the club’s grand opening to coincide with the fantasy and science fiction themed convention on Labor Day weekend.

“Of course we’d prefer to call it Jabba’s Hut,” said Steve Scizz, owner. “But the lawyers would open us up like a Hoth tauntaun and crawl inside.”

Scizz says his club will feature more than just girls dressed up as slave Leias, although there will be plenty of those, even if he calls them “Slave Laylas.” He plans to have his girls costumed across the full spectrum of fantasy, science fiction, and actual science.

“Just imagine getting a lap dance from sexy Marie Curie — non radioactive and in the public domain — or one of those hot night elves like the ones in WOW. We’ll have it all,” said Scizz.

Jabbu’s Hut is currently seeking young women with cosplay experience. Apply in and then out of costume at the club’s location on Spring street.

I was watching one of those Comedy Central roasts and I was trying to figure out who the slurring, fat, ugly chick was and why she wasn't funny. Then they announced it was Carrie Fisher. Even after the said it, I still could not tell it was her. What a damn shame.

I was watching one of those Comedy Central roasts and I was trying to figure out who the slurring, fat, ugly chick was and why she wasn't funny. Then they announced it was Carrie Fisher. Even after the said it, I still could not tell it was her. What a damn shame.

How long ago was this? I heard her on NPR's Wait Wait Dont' Tell Me about 4 years ago and she was very lucid and told a funny story about Cary Grant's experiences with drugs.

Was she perhaps high at the time she did the show?

To be honest she's never been as hot as her mom.

Technically GA Tech is closer to most things, but Emory for many years was closer to Club 112 (RIP). That had some significant advantages. One of the best $100 I ever spent was to get into Club 112 the night before the 2003 NBA All-Star Game. Most of both All-Star teams were there, including Jordan and bodyguard Charles Oakley and the club had live music by the Roots. Allen Iverson blew an insane amount of coin on one girl at the bar and one of my roommates spent all night trying to stand next to AI just to get an accurate gauge of his height (we swear to this day he's about 5'9").
