So why couldn't Vader, who actually was a Sith, not read Leia's mind? Ren hadn't even completed his training yet. Vader had been a Sith for decades. Leia couldn't even use the force. She's just sensitive to it.

The "FORCE" can't be strong for everybody.... it also depends how well you cumulate and uses the force that you have, etc. Rey clearly is a quick learner and picks it up and uses it very well.

My hell one butt. He's been using the force in the dark Side for 15 years. She hasn't even begun training as a Jedi. And the dark side is stronger then the light.

Face it. They screwed up with this character. All there is to be done is kill him off and let Luke take over and turn darkside.

"Strength" is even.

In normal circumstances, power of the "light" side is distributed over 100s of individuals. Power of "dark" side confined to two.

Vader had been training as a Jedi for over 10 years and was a Sith for decades. Leia can't even use the force. Vader was a terrible character and should have been replaced in the middle of New Hope.
 
Sure seems like Anakin was a stronger sith the moment he turned. Ren was a darkside user for 15 damned years. He's a joke. They shouldn't have let Rey kick his ***. We need Luke to save the rest of these movies he'd be the greatest badass as a sith ever.

Because he was a Jedi when he turned. He had already been focusing his abilities for the same length of time as Ren, except Anakin was the balance to the force, aka the most in tune with the force over many generations. And yet he still lost to a pretty middling Jedi (Kenobi) and couldn't overwhelm a non-force user (Leia) and you expect a standard non-master Sith to be better than what Vader was?
