Jazz aren't backing out of Davis. I suspect it has to do with signing the rooks or simply sequencing the deals for exception purposes.

Sounds like it’s the rookies then. No point in worrying about minimum deals because you can go over the cap to sign them. Have to structure 2nd round contracts into space - maybe can do it for minimum deals (even with guaranteed money) - not sure on that though. Probably going to sign both Brantley and Oni to three year deals and then operate over the cap with the exceptions. Was hoping it would be closer to ~ $3 million so they could nab another guy for slightly more than the minimum.
