NFL 2015 Season Discussion Thread

I just want to add that the st Louis rams super bowl year (greatest show on turf) with Kurt Warner running the show might be the best I have seen a qb look over a stretch of games.
Dude was in the zone. Not sure I have ever seen a more accurate qb than Warner that year

Warner was lethal at the 20-yard pass, or thereabouts. He was ridiculous from 2000 - 2002.

That said, in terms of accuracy, Brady's 2007 season tops Warner's best season. And that's when Brady was playing with deeper passes, too.

In 2001, Kurt Warner posted a 68.7 completion percentage. His average pass was 8.85 yards. He threw 36 touchdowns and 22 interceptions
In 2007, Tom Brady posted a 68.9 completion percentage. His average pass was 8.32 yards. He threw 50 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions.

Also Brady has 2:1 TD to INT ratio in the post-season (52 TD's, 26 INT's)

Brees has 4:1 TD to INT ration in the post-season (24 TD's, 6 INT's)

Manning has a worse than 2:1 ratio (38:24)

Drew Bree's TD to INT ratio in the playoffs is pretty insane when you look at other top QB's of the recent eras.

... And then there's that most important post season stat.

Tom Brady has a better regular season win-percentage than Manning. And, he has a better touchdown-to-interception ratio. Manning has some better stats, but he also led offenses that were more pass-heavy than most of Brady's offenses, which always cultivated a bit more balance. As of now, Manning has about 2000 more career passing attempts than Brady... a fact that should be acknowledged when you look at the disparity of total yards and touchdowns. If Brady keeps going like this, then he'll get 2000 more high-quality attempts.

Everything should be looked at. But Brady gets credit for his teams and coaching. not complaining about that fact, he should.

I simply think that Manning is the best regular season QB ever. I also think that Father time caught him and he is clearly not even remotely the same QB. Broncos are currently winning in spite of Manning.

According to statistics Marino is 44th all time in completion percentage whereas Brees is No.1 fwiw

I think Brees had a better career peak than anyone in history. He really benefited from an extremely pass happy offense that was highly creative and had weapons, though no huge names prior to Saints (besides Reggie Bush), at every position.
