I've now seen two Hail Mary passes (this one and another in HS) in the past year that have been completed even though the defender had the ball because instead of knocking it down and ending the game he tried for an interception.

Eliminate the confusion. Eliminate the refs from screwing you over. Knock the ball away, let it fall harmlessly to the ground, and win the game. Had Jenkins spiked the ball like a volleyball to the 5 yard line we wouldn't be having this conversation. Or had he tipped it up backwards out of the endzone, the game would have ended with a favorable result for GB.

Only bad things can happen if you try and intercept the ball on a Hail Mary.

Titans knocked it down this week...right into the hands of a Lion.

Same thing happened last year or the year before. Guy "knocked it down" about five yards, into the hands of a receiver.

Some wisdom needs to be used here. Look at the Titans game, Young was standing in front and to the right of the mass of humanity. The Titans defender essentially hit it and lobbed it up for Young to grab. Had he hit it to the other side, it would have been incomplete.

Don't try and catch it. Too many bad things can happen. It's crazy, I know, but spike it at the ground where no one is near. It really isn't that hard if you've ever played Volleyball or Football before.

Normally you would be right, but in this case Jennings was in no position to just knock the ball down, as he was behind Tate. How the refs thought Tate had equal possession of the ball is stupid.
 
Tate pushed down the guy who had the angle to bat the ball away. That play/call/no call is f***** for so many reasons. Robbery at its finest!
 
For once in the history of JF, Thriller has the best take on the thread. If the guy had just batted the ball down GB gets the W and the NFL gets to keep pretending it's prison guard refs are OK.

I agree with thriller too. He should could have and should have swatted the ball. Or he could have pulled the play out of bounds.

The problem is these guys are trying to pad there stats at the same time. But, that is how they are paid. So you can't blame him too much.
