Cause they are dumb.

Just like how teams will call a play other than a qb sneak when they have less than a yard to gain. Dumb

You could tell from the very first play of the Rams game winning drive that they were, at minimum, going to get into the red zone.

That was the ultimate "we're going to give you 15 yards per play to not get thrown over" defense.
