This is assuming we hold on to picks 14 and 21, who would be the two players that you absolutely would not want at those spots?

I'm going to go with Larkin at 14, and Mason Plumlee at 21 (which is exactly who the Deseret News has us taking in both spots)

I don't mind Plumlee at #21, he's got potential as a 3rd big. As an example, I think he's already an upgrade on Tyler Hansbrough and I think he could be a Splitter type guy for us.

I could list a lot of nightmare picks - but they won't be realistic.

A realistic pair of picks that I would be disappoint in would be Larkin at #14 and Nogueira (Bebe) at #21.

no man when i was 10 years old i used to open accounts like berklebronjames and berkkobe because i hate both of them. They are well known basketball players in my country, and when i mix them with my name "Berk" i never forget the accounts. Now i'm 22 years old and i'm still using this account name.

Why don't you guys like Larkin? I really like the look of him and would be glad if we drafted him.

It's more at the defensive end than anything else...

- Small wingspan (opponents will likely treat him as plastic cones)

- very short standing reach (opponents will just shoot over him)


We're not saying he isn't good. We're just saying he isn't worth the #14 pick. Most here would be happy with him with our #21 pick.

We're not saying he isn't good. We're just saying he isn't worth the #14 pick. Most here would be happy with him with our #21 pick.

I'll bet that Stockton didn't have a long wingspan or reach. And he is the all-time steals leader. How about Chris Paul? And Muggsy Bogues, aside from needing to cover for him on post-ups, was a great defender.

Guess you don't watch football much. "Alligator arms" is a common expression used by television announcers when a receiver doesn't fully extend his arms to make a catch (out of fear of being hit by an oncoming defender).

Do you have an example that is not a freak of an athlete or a multiple time all star?
