Noah Vonleh. Why???

You think he does?

To me he doesnt look anywhere near as long as Bosh. Am I wrong about this?

Also, seemed like Bosh dominated at G Tech

Its like they had the same dinosaur mother, but different daddys tho.

Vonleh looks weird when he runs. What is the success rate of NBA players who look weird when they run?

Looking at their pre draft measurements, Bosh is 2 inches taller, but only 1 inch longer standing reach.

Vonleh's vert is higher.

This means that...

Noah improved thru his freshman season. He rebounds very well. He has quick feet. He plays very good perimeter defense. He has range to the 3 point line. He has no injury history. He has a good handle for a guy his size and age. There are many things to like about him.
His major flaw is he played on a bad team that exposed his lack of aggressiveness inside.

Basically Vonleh would be seen as a super safe pick, right? Doesn't seem likely to bust, but I'd rather aim higher.

He has range to the college 3 line on limited attempts. Lots of college PF's who have shown 3pt ability in college but never had it translate to the pros.

Derrick Williams being a recent example. IMO, if your big is going to be a 3pt shooter, he needs to be in the 35% range.

Granted I only watched a couple of his games. What I watched was a guy who was obviously the best player on the floor.
Very few guys that big can shoot. I think if Indiana had decent point play he would have much better numbers and more attempts from 3. His 3 point numbers are impressive but hard to guage.

As a prospect, I'll admit I've been wrong with the Bosh comparisons. I think he's more talented than Bosh. And no clown can lead the Big 10 in rebounding. That's pretty good.

However, I just don't like his lack of aggressiveness. To me, he's just too soft. A player with his size and athleticism should be killing people inside. Can that be changed with more experience and playing for a better team?

He really needs to develop the "nasty" element to his game. If he does, he could easily be an All-Star if his shooting is legit.

This.

Every player has at least 1 glaring weakness and this is Vonleh's weakness. He just doesn't seem to have #Hunger. Can he obtain it somehow? May be he needs to hike to the Tibetian Mountains to receive it from the Holy Monks. May be he's sitting eating Subway 1 day and suddenly realise he deserves better than that ****!!!!!

Once he gets that #Hunger, he's gonna be #Scary.
