What's new

Noah Vonleh. Why???

Bruh if im swinging for the fences in this draft, heres what im doing;

Trading down, like 2 times.

5 for 7 and next years first rounder unprotected from the Lakers.

7 for 14, 18 and 50

Rodney Hood, Adreian Payne, PJ Hairston, Walter Tavares(Stash), Josh Huestis.

Trey - FA - Garrett
Hayward - Burks - Hairston
Hood - Hairston - Huestis
Kanter - Payne - Evans
Favors - Gobert

and the Lakers pick next year...

I don't know if I necessarily would call that swinging for the fences as much as a good realistic and creative deal.
I could take it or leave it, tbh. Incredible depth, but nothing real game-changing for us. I'd much rather see a major move to top 2, if possible.

That's also a very poor line up defensively. Are we tanking for '17 yet?

I can live with that lineup, with an extra first rounder in '15 and '17 and all those rookie scale contracts, the jazz could easily shake things up at the trade deadline if necessary.

The Jazz are in a precarious position in this draft because they have a Premium pick, yet that player isnt likely to crack the starting lineup, or have all that much to do with the jazz sinking or swimming next season. Wiggins is the only player in this draft I could see drastically changing the Jazz defense. If Damien Inglis pans out, he will be an absolute menace, but thats years down the line.

Agree with all that.

I think most people here underrate what we may be able to do in FA in the coming two years.. which is why I commented positively on your depth.

If the defense is terrible next year, Alec and Enes' contract offers will be much more reasonable for the Jazz to match

I get what you're saying, but I gotta admit I laughed at that. Yay!

Someones going to need to put this team on their back for it to make the playoffs next year, I dont see that happening. I still say the Jazz should be in 'Asset Acquisition' mode.

To put it bluntly, I dont mind if Alec or Enes have an off year next season, getting good young players like that locked into near mid-level deals on their second contracts, could pay off bigtime in a few years.

Does Vonleh look...weird to anyone else? Is it his shoulders? WHAT IS IT!? Compare him to Gordon, he looks like he has a tiny frame. Is that it?

Based on that pic, my order is Gordon, Embiid, McDermott, Vonleh then Wiggins

I don't like the flaps on Smart's suit, and don't like the color of Wiggins' suit. Is the other one Ennis? I hate that one as well. I'm sure Corbin would agree with my assessment.

I am starting to think Vonleh will be what Marvin Williams was supposed to be coming out of college.
