That area is nuts though. That's where all the so called "abducted" Chinese get murdered every year and sold on the human organs black market. I don't doubt that if you made it through you could get that way though. But being a non-Chinese and trying it, might be doubly stupid. I think it would super interesting to go there though.

sounds like a central american trying to get to the states by sneaking thru mexico. That is an insanely bad idea.

I watched a documentary about a guy that was walking the distance of the Amazon where he was passing through all these drug lairs and stuff that looked pretty crazy too(not to mention all the climatic/physical/topographical challenges he had). I'm not opposed to doing really stupid things while I'm still young and have no dependents. I sort of like going where people tell you not to.

There is some bat **** crazy stuff out there man. I need to get cracking to see it all before i die. Working on a trip to Ecuador now...

well,thats the only way into the N.korea,thats how people go there.there are tours u can find it on internet,package tours,i think it costs like 7000$,it includes ticket,visa,hotel(there is only one to chose),visit to DMZ,countryside tour,guide

That's another thing. It's like, shouldn't going to North Korea cost about as much as taking your kids to a party at Chuckie Cheeses or something? If you're going to have to plop down a prohibitive 7 Grand and then be forced to pall around with some state appointed tour guide/bureaucratic gimp with the fear of the Supreme leader always present in their bosoms(ie, no fun) and stay within very strict boundaries like you'll be forced to, it might not be worth it. The uniqueness is the appeal, but there are certain elements that could sap that appeal out very quickly.
