But Im also kind of not joking about Sabonis.
I think Sabonis/Lauri could be the best offensive duo in the NBA. Yes, the defense would likely suck, but it'd be a fun team.
Hell maybe even Sabonis/Walker could play together in the same way Houston plays Sengun/Adams.
If the price is dirt cheap, I wouldnt rule it out. Contract wise you can get to Sabonis's number with Nurkic/Anderson/Hendricks.
I guess my devil's advocate position would be: Would we rather give OKC the 9th-13th pick, or just try to be good and give them like 16th-20th.
IDK, I'm kind of torn now. If Lauri is going to average 30+ that probably puts him in the "too good to tank with" category of star player. I mean, we are even playing Cody Williams 10-20 MPG that last 4 games and he isnt totally wrecking us. We might be in trouble. I might turn into @NUMBERICA

not hallucinating. it was clear he wanted to be out there and in order to do so, had to defend. and he was legit good at it.

I can't imagine watching this game and being mad we won as a Jazz fan. Lauri dominating, Brice playing great defense, Keyonte struggling and then completely turning it around, double over time, and so many great plays made for a great game.
I understand wanting a better pick that could have a small chance of winning the lottery and a small chance that player turns into something awesome, but man it must be miserable to miss out enjoying a game like this.
