What's new

now that my League Pass has expired, and my television continues to not exist...

To be fair, NAOS said he was moving on from LP because it's buggy. And to be even more fair, he's right about how ****ty the service is, specially compared to ballstreams. But then again, I don't think flame warriors are all about what is and isn't fair. lol

Freud fell out of favor because psychology became more and more concerned with evidence as opposed to arm chair philosophizing. The same thing happened with practically every field of human inquiry. You know, because we want results, not just ************ sessions between intellectuals who fancy themselves privy to some super-secret insights.

Surely you saw that I was making fun of Freud and Freudianism. Rather, I was using a joke-version of Freud in order to make fun of Hack. How transparent do I need to be for you? You've displayed your cultural deftness around here, so I'm surprised at how tautological and teacherly you're being.

But, whatever, I wasn't repping Freud. But thanks for assuming I was the kind of guy who needed a post outlining the enthusiasm for positivism in psychology. I get it. Freud was problematic, for sure, but the feverish demand for universally recognizable patterns, which forms the very basis for more "scientific" schools of psychology, is also sickening. Nothing that lives submits itself well to either habit of thinking.

You've been trying to engage me for a few days now. I think you can be more interesting than this.

Lol. Wut?

So now you claim you watch 400 hours of basketball? And now you want help paying for it?

You guys realize that League Pass ****ing ends when the Playoffs begin, right? The television contracts don't allow the broadcasts in that forum. At least not in Los Angeles. I would pay for them, no problem, but I can't unless it's through a cable television package... and since I don't own or want to own a television, then.......

how transparent do I need to be with you guys?

Totally went over my head. My bad.

Edit: Also I don't think I've been trying to engage you any more than usual. Historically, I haven't had much success engaging you.

We've been on a bad foot ever since you slaughtered Nietzsche, tbh. I probably took that a bit personally since you were reducing some of what I consider the most insightful commentary in the history of "the West" into a couple of toss-away comments. My bad. --That kind of stuff is kind of fun to be bratty about, though, so I keep doing it.

On another note, you're cliquishness has risen, so I get particularly grated.

Go Jazz.

You did the same with Karl Popper. You don't see me being all bitter about it 2 years later! As for my cliquishness, it's a by-product of having been around these forums for a long time. I am actually one of the least cliquish people you'll meet. Either way, despite being a mean, lean, drama queen, I've always really liked you. ;)

As an olive branch, I promise to review Popper.

Oh sure. All of a sudden everything on JF is tautological. Wait, maybe it is.

Strange. I just tried registering, and it asked me to give them my email for an invite. That's not what's happening with you?

This is what's happening, but it says that they're limiting public registration. It doesn't give a timeline for when you'd actually be able to sign up for an account.
